Goals
The committee was formed to accomplish several goals:

• Create a diversity plan for Information Services as requested by the university's administration.
• Create strategies to incorporate our expertise in IT and telecommunications to help other departments and units on campus fulfill their diversity plans.
• Examine our own department's diversity and discuss how to create and foster a more culturally-aware and diverse environment.

Current Projects
In addition to working on the I.S. Diversity Plan, we have also been working on:

• A progress report for the Provost's Office.
• A brief entry for the forthcoming I.S. employee handbook.
• A "Diversity Makes a Difference" sign that will get posted in the department.
