Whether you're a new student registering for classes via DuckWeb, the administrator of a departmental budget, a payroll clerk preparing payroll, a staff member using the UO's online directory, or a student or employee voting in an on-line election, your work is being facilitated by the Information Services Application Services group.
The Application Services group supports applications that are used by practically every department on campus, as well as some areas of the Oregon University System. The Knight Library, the EMU, Business Affairs, Registrars, Admissions, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Facilities Services, Housing, Printing Services, the Student Health Center, Telecommunications, and administrative and faculty users in the academic departments all benefit from the Application Services' policy development, database design, application systems analysis, program development, security planning, and all-around technical support.
The Application Services group provides programming and support for administrative applications, including Banner, Duckweb, the Schedule of Classes, and the data warehouses. In addition to these central systems, they provide application hosting and development for the Student Health Center, Printing Services, Housing, and Business Affairs.
